In August 2011, husbandf and wife team, Patrick Casey and Marisa Moran, took over the everyday operations of the Whale Tail Deli. In December of 2011, the escrow on the sale of the business to Patrick and Marisa was finalized. Now, as we begin the 2012 year, renovation plans are quickly moving forward, and the new Cafe, "State & Fig" will be launched at the current home of Whale Tail Deli. In the interim, future menu items of State & Fig are being implemented on the daily Whale Tail menu...to give everyone "A taste of the State" as we complete the details of our transition.
Our Mission State & Fig is commited to sourcing the finest ingredients, and handcrafted products, that are produced in the State of California. In these simpler time, we feel it is our responsibility to ensure our customers with the finest ingredients, and in an effort to stimulate our State and local economy, we are committed to creating a sustainable economical environment by using only products made in the State of California.
